Insulate the windows with the old method

Today there are already many methods to keep warmth in the house and not to lose it through the windows. And with the advent of plastic windows, this activity almost completely lost meaning and began to be forgotten as an unnecessary action. However, there are still cases where the insulation of the window is simply necessary. And it is for such cases, you need to remember the most effective way to insulate.

There is a variant, when twisted strips of wet newspaper are pushed into all the slits. After drying, it completely covers the out, and the top of it is sealed with paper. But the side effect of such insulation is that in the spring one will have to tear off and dig out these newspapers. Before you rent an apartment for rent in Perm, you should check whether it has insulated windows for the winter.

The second option would be the way, where the cracks are closed with foam rubber or absorbent cotton, with strips of fabric from an old bed sheet glued on top. Such insulation gives a very good result and in the spring it is quite easy to peel off. The cloth is cut into strips 4-5 cm wide, washed, squeezed and soaped with laundry soap.

The third way is to fill the gaps with melted paraffin. This is a very high quality method, but it is quite time consuming and after such insulation it is quite difficult to carry out painting work.
