Office conditioners (another names: commercial, semi-industrial) according to the power and productivity indexes occupy an intermediate position between the devices of household and industrial ventilation systems.
Designed to create and maintain a comfortable temperature and humidity in the workplace: offices, computer rooms, cabinets, etc.д.
Semi-industrial equipment includes the following varieties of air conditioners:
– Monoblock models, in which all elements of construction are located in one body. According to location and design features, there are window, mobile and roof units. Their advantages include low cost and ease of installation. From disadvantages the most unpleasant is “noisiness” of such units.
– The second variant is a split system, with the external block, which is set on the facade of the building and the internal block, located indoors. The air conditioner gree has perfectly recommended in the market of split-systems. An advantage of this type of conditioners is a low noise level (a compressor is taken out of a premise).
Besides such systems are controlled with the help of a remote control that allows to set exact parameters of the air: its humidity and temperature.
There are the following variants of office split-systems:
For small offices or cabinets wall-mounted model is used, similar to domestic air conditioners, but differing from them by more power and capacity.
Disadvantage of wall-split-systems is that they can provide neither inflow of new portions of air nor removal of used air, but they only cool (heat up, dehumidify) the volume of air mass that is already in the premise.
For comfortable temperature and humidity indoors in big spaces the best variant are channel and cassette conditioners that are usually mounted behind false ceilings and distribute cooled air through the ducts (channel) or through the bottom panel (cassette).
Their advantage is that they are able to provide the inflow of the air from outside in the volume, sufficient for the total ventilation of several rooms, but it is necessary to consider that their installation is quite difficult.
If there is no false ceiling, instead of a channel or cassette one can use a ceiling conditioner, which peculiarity is that it can be installed at the bottom of the wall, near the floor.
Finally, in premises where high cold-productivity is necessary and there are no strict requirements to aesthetics, columnar air conditioners are used, which are characterized by high capacity, but they require much space for installation.
Among the office conditioners also belong to split-split-systems, which give an opportunity to connect several blocks of inner ones of different type to one outer block. Restrictions are only imposed on the total number of blocks and on their aggregate capacity.
