In early November 2012, a tender for the development of projects of underground development of the capital and placement of underground multifunctional capital construction objects will be ended.
All participants of the competition should collect data within the Moscow Ring Road, to analyze the existing design developments and already taken decisions on construction sites in the underground part of the city. As a rule, a depth vibrator is used for such work.
On the ground, the authors of the projects must explore the prospects of development of the street and road network, organization of pedestrian traffic and transport services.
Proposals concerning the combination of new projected facilities with the existing underground levels of public and residential buildings, metro stations, parkings and shopping centers should be included into the design of the underground part of the projected area.
All proposed projects should take into account historical, cultural and environmental constraints. A careful study of foreign experience in this area will be an informational “foundation” for the creation of projects of this kind.
All projects will be formulated and submitted by the beginning of May 2013 for consideration and approval by the Moscow City Government.
